With birdsong on the breeze, temperatures steadily rising and the sun making regular appearances, the vineyard has taken its cue and has reached into its Spring wardrobe – there is so much lush greenery on show!
Hello friends, and welcome once again, we hope that you are very well. We’re here with another diary entry for you on life and times at our Eridge vineyard, so make yourself comfortable, it’s fika time.
We have talked before about ‘bud burst’, the beginning of the growing season where higher temperatures bring dormant buds to life, pushing them open and producing brightly coloured shoots. Well, this has happened everywhere in the vineyard now and as you can see, it’s really very pretty.
Our vines now work furiously, capturing every moment of sunshine to grow and produce their beautiful grapes. We could take a photogtaph of the same vine every day, and you would clearly see the growth, it’s incredible!
We’re excited to reveal the dates for our vineyard Open Days this Summer: Stroll between the vines, soak up the sunshine and enjoy the unique atmosphere of our vineyard, glass of chilled medal winning bubbles in your hand. There are two dates to choose from, 9th July and 20th August – with two time options each day – 13:00 or 16:00. Sounds good doesn’t it? Head over to Eventbrite for tickets here.

Thanks Olly!
Results from wine competitions are now being released, and we had some great news from the International Wine Challenge – arguably the biggest and best international wine competition in the world.
Their panel of judges awarded our Blanc de Noirs 2018 an incredible 95 points and a gold medal! Here’s a sample of their comments: “Pale white gold, beautiful and elegant on the nose, with notes of Amalfi lemon and brioche. Dry in style, but almost sweet with fruit, and shows a long dry satisfying expansive finish.” Feedback for this wine is just getting better and better!
That is all for us, so eat and drink well and we will see you again very soon.
