Multi-award winning East Sussex sparkling wine producer Busi Jacobsohn will launch their third English sparkling vintage, Blanc de Noirs, on 16th June.
Celebrating seven years since planting, the limited edition 2018 vintage, with 36 months on lees, is a new Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier blend of outstanding quality.
Busi Jacobsohn’s new Blanc de Noirs has a soft complexity and fruity aromas.
Susanna Busi Jacobsohn and Douglas Jacobsohn, the married couple behind the brand, believe in reflecting the year in each wine, and will only produce a wine if they believe the quality is good enough. On this vintage Susanna reflects, “It’s one of our most flavoursome and fruity blends yet. It’s different to our previous vintages but still carries the recognisable taste of the East Sussex estate and the Busi Jacobsohn taste people have come to love.”
The Swedish couple have since gone on to create the wines that truly reflect the unique terroir. They are committed to promoting the vineyard as an ecosystem and a habitat for wildlife and are reducing greenhouse gas emissions and carbon footprint by using both solar powered energy and biomass heating. Susanna and Douglas have also reduced pesticide use, using only when absolutely necessary – their goal is to become completely herbicide free.
As well as their sparkling wines their online shop www.busijacobsohn.com offers vineyard tours and tasting in their private tasting room at the beautiful Eridge Green estate in East Sussex.
The Blanc de Noirs will be formally launched at The George, Great Portland Street, London, on 16th June.
